Properties and uses
- Colourless, transparent oily liquid, b.p.386 oC, viscosity 80 c.p. (20 oC), refractive index 1.483 ~ 1.486 (20 oC).
- One of the most useful plasticizer, it shows properties of the plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, light-resistant, water-endurance, weathering resisting, good electrical functions, and fine softening effect, etc..
- Extensively used in processing electrical wires and cables, artificialleathers, films and moulding plastics from polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride copolymers, and cellulosic resins.
